Ilana Goor Museum, Jaffa Israel

On my walk to Jaffa Port this morning, I passed by this rather imposing apartment-like building, the
Ilana Goor Museum, along the Louis Pasteur

Its marker says that Ilana Goor was originally a Tel Aviv hostel which received Jewish pilgrims going to the Holy Land using the Jaffa to Jerusalem route.

In the year 1949, a particular area on the building served as a synagogue for Lybian Jews.

In 1995, it became Ilana Goor Museum. Posted by Picasa
